From the First Moment (I Knew) · 10 July 2003

D                         G          D
From the first moment I saw you standing there, I knew
And when I looked into your eyes so blue
And when I held your hand
I knew I’d be your man
From the first moment I saw you I was in love with you

Chorus:
G     D     A
And I knew
     That we would be together
     From now until forever
G      D        A
That it was you
     I would always be true
     Just because I love you
A            D
Yes, I knew.

When the tears fell from your eyes that day, I knew
That I would do everything that I could do
To keep you by my side dear
And hold you ‘til I die dear
When the tears fell from your eyes that day, I knew

Chorus

When the kids all left the house, I knew
That our love had endured and it was true
We still walk hand in hand
On the street and in the sand
I remember the first time I saw you

Chorus

Don't Give Up on Me · 9 July 2003

A                                     D                   A
I played the talent show just the other night
A                                       E
When at the bar erupted a fight
A                                  D                      A
Then a couple of guys started heckling me
E                                                  A
Maybe the singing life wasn’t for me
[Spoken] I heard myself say

Chorus:
Don’t give up on me, I won’t give up on you
You know there’s not a thing we can’t do
Don’t you listen to them, they’re just a couple of fools
Just believe in us – me and you.

Just the other day, I said to my wife
I can’t believe I messed up your life
Singin’ don’t pay the bills but I can’t do much more
I won’t blame you if you walk out the door
[Spoken] Then I heard her say

Chorus

I finally signed a contract and I cut a CD
I can’t believe they line up to see me
Sometimes voices of the past start to heckling
That’s the cue for me to start my singing
[Spoken] And I sing

Chorus

Chorus (sung a cappella)

Twenty-Four Seven · 8 July 2003

When Monday comes, the grind starts again
Then Tuesday morning, with no sight of the end
     Up before dawn
     Workin’ all day long
Wednesday drags on; they say it’s hump day
Thursday’s just a day away from payday
     The week’s almost through
I want to be with you

Chorus:
I’m workin’ twenty-four hours to be with you
Twenty-four hours to see it through
          Twenty-four hours
          I’m workin’ twenty-four hours

When Friday night comes, I’m there at the bar
But I’m not drinkin’, I’m just playin’ guitar
     And singin’ my songs
     I’m playin’ all night long
And then you walk in with a smile on your face
You walk down and take a seat at your place
     A table for one
     Until my songs are done

Chorus

When Saturday comes, I spend all day with you
And then night time comes and I’m playing for you
     There’s a crowd it’s true
But I only play for you
Then Sunday comes and the week’s almost through
I start longing that day just to be with you
     All my life
I just want you as my wife
