I want to do an infomercial about eating almost vegan.

I thought about this the other day while flipping through the channels for a few minute and deciding there was nothing on that I wanted to watch. It seems that there are more and more infomercials about everything, but weight loss programs still seem to be the rage these days. They always have these people on who have done these programs and had fantastic results. Of course, the fine print states that results vary between individuals. And nobody reads the fine print until it is too late. Until the money has already been spent.

I decided that nobody would do an infomercial about eating almost vegan because there is no money in it. An advertiser might even lose money with lawsuits from the meat and dairy industries. So nobody would stand up and tell the world to give up dairy and most if not all forms of meat. Even if he had a book to sell.

Still, it is fun to think about somebody standing in front of a camera telling people to just give up dairy and wean themselves off meat. I can hear the huckster telling the audience, “I am not making money off this, I am just convinced you can change your health by eating vegan. Or close. After all, if I could do it, you can too.” There would be celebrity endorsements and other motivators, but people would not make much money off their endeavors of getting people to buy into the concept of eating vegan.

I might need to do an infomercial about eating vegan (or close) one day. I am sure there would be no money in it, but I still think it would be fun to see somebody put out an infomercial for eating almost vegan.
